Veterinarians

Ken Lawrence, DVM

Dr. Lawrence is a 1984 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. He opened Texoma Veterinary Hospital in July 1984. His family includes his wife, Mary, and their two sons, Scott and Kyle. Dr. Lawrence is active at his church, Western Heights Church of Christ. He enjoys studying and teaching in the areas of marriage enrichment, creation and evolution, and general Bible study. He is also involved in the church’s Celebrate Recovery ministry. His hobbies include teaching at church and tinkering with computers.

Dr. Lawrence is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice. To be a member of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, Dr. Lawrence attends an average of 50 hours of continuing education each year. He has a keen interest in alternative therapies such as ozone, laser, and nutritional support for diseases.

David Tidwell, Dipl. ABVP

Dr. Tidwell is a 2000 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. He joined the staff at Texoma Veterinary Hospital in May of 2000, where he loves practicing veterinary medicine. Dr. Tidwell is a boarded specialist in small animal practice and a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. His areas of interest include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and reproduction. Although Dr. Tidwell is a boarded specialist, he still enjoys providing preventative and routine care to his patients.

Dr. Tidwell and his wife, Jennifer, met in college and have been married for 24 years. They have two active kiddos: Jacob, who is currently attending Texas A&M, and Claire, a senior in high school. They have three rescued dogs: Wendy, Andy, and Jasper. The Tidwells are very active in their community and are active members of Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro, where Dr. Tidwell serves as a Sunday School teacher and deacon.

Dr. Tidwell is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Texas Academy of Veterinary Practitioners, and American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

Kenny Stubblefield, DVM

Dr. Stubblefield attended Oklahoma State University and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 18 years. He prides himself in his experience with emergency medicine and his ability to be compassionate to his patients and their owners, as well as providing the best care for the pet’s needs.

Outside of work, Dr. Stubblefield enjoys everything music-related, being outside, traveling, cooking, and entertaining.

Support Staff

Samantha Garrison, Practice Manager

Samantha is our Practice Manager. She started with Texoma Veterinary Hospital in 2017. She is married to her husband, Josh, and they have three boys–Colten, Kaden, and Logan. Their family also includes 3 Great Danes–Zander, Laney, and Stella! She also has a toy poodle named Marley and 1 cat named Alley! When not at work, she enjoys time with family at the lake in their RV, watching wildlife on their property, and pretty much anything outdoors. Samantha is very involved at her church, Trinity Lighthouse, and volunteers with the media department.

Kendra Gravley, Vet Tech

Kendra has been a veterinary technician since 2003 when she started at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center. She came to Texoma Veterinary Hospital in 2011. Kendra also works at Grayson County Animal Emergency clinic too.

Kendra is married to her husband, Francisco, and they have been together since 1999. The couple has two children, Emma and Brynlee, and the whole family is very active with basketball. For her part, Kendra loves to watch her girls and husband play basketball all year long! The family also has one dog named Bird, who is a Blue Pitbull. One interesting fact about Kendra is that she loves margaritas!

Christi Norris, Vet Tech

Christi is a veterinary technician with Texoma Veterinary Hospital and has been practicing vet-med for 16 years! She received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and became an RVT/LVT through Murray State College. In keeping a calm approach with her patients, Christi makes them feel more comfortable in a strange place. She can be found dog training, spending quality time with 5 dogs & 6 cats, or partaking in various crafts during her spare time.

Ashley Clark, Vet Tech

Ashley is a veterinary technician here at Texoma Veterinary Hospital and has been in the veterinary field for 5 years. An alumna of Rogers High School, she prides herself in the quality care the shows her patients and her ability to educate her clients on their pet’s health and needs.

 When not at work, she has an active home life with her 4 boys. She enjoys spending time with them playing games or going to the lake. In those rare moments she has to herself, she loves to spend them reading!

Dusty Rockwell

Employed at Texoma Veterinary Hospital since 2005, Dusty has a bachelor’s degree in animal science. When not working, he enjoys softball, fishing tournaments, and volleyball. During lunch, you will usually find Dusty running at the local park. 

Janelle Baxter, Lead CSR

Janelle has been in the veterinary field for 15 years. She was homeschooled throughout high school and ended up training at Road and Riddle Equine Hospital for equine anesthesia under Dr. Jergens, DCM, DACVS in Colorado as an equine technician. Janelle takes pride in giving an unlimited amount of care and compassion to her clients and patients whenever they walk through the door. She takes deep pride in building long-lasting friendships and relationships as if they were her own family.

Laci Bandy, CSR

Laci Bandy is the receptionist at Texoma Veterinary Hospital. She has been with Texoma for 2 years and has also been in the equine industry for 2 years. Laci prides herself in being able to help keep patients feel comfortable and relaxed. In her free time, she loves being outside, riding horses, and playing with her dogs.
